It doesn't matter if your IFR is current when moving on from instructing. When you do a PPC or PCC you can at the same time renew your IFR and therefore be current. Currently I'm instructing, and I would like to keep my IFR current. I have the ability to use an approved simulator at work through which myself and another instructor could keep ourselves current (for the 6,6,6 rule). Would this be frowned upon to a future employer?
