Re: 2013 and 2014 stats on Sunwing hiring pratices
Well, we can see that all of this has been done seemingly in secret, away from official eyes for some time. Personally, I think this concept has hurt the Canadian Aviation industry in many ways. The first, by bypassing those 3000 Hours to people who were under high brackets ''under-qualified'' and s...

Company Layoffs: A Better Guide to Employment Identification
Greetings all. I hope all is well! It came up to me last night to try to identify all those companies that recently laid-off our dear colleges. With this hiring spree continuing well into the next year, I'm sure a few got reabsorbed during these waves of hiring. But for those who are still looking f...

Re: Sky Regional Hiring
And the Wheels on the bus go Round and Round. Sky Regional posts again! Not surprised. I constantly keep hearing people are trying to get out. The way out to Porter right next door for some could be a good enterprise. I just wanted to know, amongst other things, if you good fellows know about their ...

Re: Theoredical Scenario
Greetings all. In regards to the MPIC. Many carriers will take MPIC over thousand hour sing engine candidates regardless if its piston or turboprop. But, with what is going on at the moment, i've seen the exceptions grow in number. 100 MPIC is usually the magic number key to get through the door of ...

Re: Porter Airlines Airport / CSeries Expansion Plans Scrape
Well I'm sure it comes down to votes. Toronto is all red right now. The fact that the Liberals decided not to reopen the discussion might have been quite a game changer for voters. But people are stupid. They want more job creation...which this project ultimately would have created, yet they refuse ...

So if the DEC minimums are that high. I'm curious to know what FO high requirements are lol. Like 2500 total and 1000 multi and 700 MPIC. I would not be surprised!!!

I heard vaguely that plan B was to make a Jet hub in Ottawa. Now how realistic is that though?

Re: Who is hiring FOs right now?
I know its not cool to be bashing...but when I hear of instructors with no 703/704/705 operation, with only C172 time getting into groundschools flying a trubojet....it enrages me. Yes you guys will say that life isnt fair and add a ''its-not-who-you-know-but-who-you-blow'' type comment. Its like if...

Re: Who is hiring FOs right now?
I think the hardest receptionist in the world to get through is the one lady at Transwest Air. I've succeeded in alot of places to get through but she is a tough one. It seems her new excuse of: ''He is in a meeting'' is the one she uses now.

Re: Who is hiring FOs right now?
Hi there Loopa. I heard the hard 108 number from a reliable source of mine in the company. Now If the 108 transforms into something greater then that would be awesome! Now you may be right as the number might fluctuate with the number of attrition. Usually that can vary between a + or - 10 to 13 per...

Re: Who is hiring FOs right now?
Greetings. As posted in the thread ''Massive Hiring...FINALLY'' started by myself, the ''hiring factories'' officially start right now. What I mean by hiring factories, I mean alot of hiring. To shorten what I have said in the other thread, it all goes down to numbers. The big players and regionals:...

Re: Let The Massive Hiring Begin!!!! FINALLY
Got a few numbers from the Big Red. I will start with what I have heard and then go on for other major regionals. So please follow closely. Jazz is now the main feeder for pilots at AC with the new agreement they have gotten. Now with this in mind, AC is the big player in this part of the game. AC i...

Seems to be a well kept secret in our industry. With the massive hiring spree to start this fall and continue throughout 2016, I think its quite good to open up a few other options, as this shuffle will surely affect alot of smaller companies out there. Wanted to launch a few enquiries about this ai...
