Re: Good, bad and just plain silly news for 2012

Another classic case of feeding off each other and spreading fear. Nobody can predict the future. Fact is there will be a shortage of qualified pilots pilots in the near future. Don't forget massive retirements coming soon. Things may look gloomy now with all the happenings going on but things chang...

Self Help Books

So, what is the deal with airline pilots (esp. senior folk) and their self-help books? Are their lives really that messed up?
Just an observation...

Re: A320 and B767 for Jazz pilots

Jazz Air would be much better off financially if they were to operate as a stand alone carrier. AC knows this. AC needs Jazz more than Jazz needs AC.

Re: Jazz pilots contract?

I wish Jazz employees could simply outright buy their own airline and run it themselves. Get rid of the greedy execs, and never worry about outside "investors". Let the frontline workers see the $$$. Jazz is profitable and is a recognized brand. Put it to good use...

Re: Jazz pilots contract?

If I am not mistaken, doesn't British Airways and a slew of other carriers have the same sort of set-up? Let the younger- eager- to chase the metal type fly the overseas heavy junk flying (imo), and let the seniors fly the domestic stuff so they can be closer to their families etc, same pay.... make...

Re: Question about layovers

This is how it is. Sit in airplane for 8 hours (or more). Land in (for example CDG). Wait for bus. Sit in bus for almost one hour. Go to hotel. Sit again, waiting for rooms to be ready. Take short nap. Feel like shit. Go for dinner. Go to bed. Then fly home. Feel like a zombie. Then, when you get ba...
