Check with Freightliner or some other trucking company. It may not be as expensive as you think.

Our repair shop does a mixed fleet. The apprentices in our shop write both M1 and M2 in 2.5 years. The numbers quoted by the poster above are incorrect.

Re: AME Wages - AME's Unite!!
When I was in my last year of apprenticeship (2 1/2 years experience), I used to make 36575$/year, 10 hours nightshift on rotation 4-5-5 so I was working about 182 days/year, 1820 hours/year and this gives you the magic number of 20.10$/hour. I was working in Montreal (CYUL). May 2013 That's the mo...

Manufacturers.and where does this inspector/mechanic crap come from?
Bell, Bombardier, etc. Mechanics/Technicians/assemblers do the work, the inspector signs it off at the completion of each stage.
It's all part of the same industry, different aspects.

The positive note means that there is an adequate supply of talent to meet the needs of industry. If the countr...

Most people may have friends at places where an applicant may have worked in the past. Casual conversations, off the record, may reveal more than an official reference.

Re: AME Wages - AME's Unite!!
What are you talking about? Its busier now than its been since Ive known it. Most AME's now are getting to choose which jobs they want, customers are getting pushed away. If youre a good, experienced AME in the summer of 2014, you've probably never had it better. Or am I way off? Helicopter side of...

Re: AME Wages - AME's Unite!!
We don't need Red Seal. Red Seal allows trades people to work between provinces, as trade certificates are issued by provinces. AME licenses are issued by the Federal government so we can work between provinces anyways. Wages aren't increasing because tariffs aren't increasing. Because there's too m...
