40k for what??? The school I am going to is going to be just over 14k (with dorms), and that's a ppl, cpl, float, ifr..... I would look into the real flight schools where you pay tuition and the flight time is included! Heaven forbid your first job will be instructing at a "fake" flight school. I w...

House boat pilot eh? hmmm, don’t I need a rating for that much gross weight? lol
I do come across as a little pompous sometimes, however I am not going to kowtow to people; if someone came to me looking for a job and acted as if they only deserved a chit job, guess what they are going to get!

I didn’t mean that all wal-mart jobs are bad, but ever walk into a wal-mart and see the people with the blue shirts that say "can I help you", hell I don’t even like shopping there, the people look like night of the living dead lol. As far as flying goes I don’t think that it is a job that you shoul...

Sour Grapes?

I have been nosing around this forum, looking at BFC underground and a few other places and I have found one thing in common (or at least here at the underground website), it seems that everyone is very sour, like when I asked a question about getting a job right out of flight school, or just some o...

I shoulda said I have a PDA (had it since college...other college), and I have a gps on the PDA, so it is just the 90 bucks for the program. The only reason that I was looking is that the school recommneds a flight calc, so I figured if i could knock a few birds out for less then I paid for my ti-83...

"and the balls i was talking about aren't the brass ones, there the overinflated kind that burst easily." LOl, I like that one! Anyway I get what you saying and see the logic in it...I still I confident that I will find someone who will give me a left seat (not as a instructor), I may be flying hors...

However I am just trying to say that it seems like there are a whole bunch of peo...

I would like to get some real experience...however I won’t play the hope game. All I was saying is that if one has the right attitude and energy (and puts enough mileage on their feet, car, etc going from place to place) one should be able to find a job, perhaps not flying a c-130 through mountain p...

Ok...I am getting ready to head off for BFC so I am green in the flying business, but I do have ALOT of experience in this field...just a different industry. I used to be in the car business, I eventually moved up (see: made friends w/ the GM) to F&I (the guy in the little office that sold you that ...

Does Anyone Care Where you Grad From?

I am planning on going to BFC for there commerical program, I have been searching the boards for reviews and such on flight schools. My conclusion was; it appears that tranning is what you make of it, if you find a good instructor and put your heart into it it's all the same...am I right on this? My...
