Re: Party time on Sunwing!
Because they wanted their CUN layover... I don't know, maybe this wasn't a problem until the party videos dropped on social media and the court of public opinion got stoked up... it was almost a week ago and we're only hearing about it now. People seem more worked up over this than all the elderly ...

Re: Living in Barrie, Working at YYZ
I’ve been commuting for over 10 years and here is my two cents. You need to conduct two kinds of calculations; financial and emotional. The first is obvious, your gas monthly spending is going higher, so you have to determine if that’s a valuable extra spending given a lower house rate in Term 4. T...

Re: To return to the skies or wait a while longer…
Get back on the horse. Cant predict the future. If a seat is available take it and don't worry about the "what if". Its not like you are leaving a "career" to make this choice, Seasonal contract is over so its natural to go back to flying! Thanks ! I don’t know how recalls are happening with 10-15%...

Re: How bad is commuting
Has anyone commuted to YYZ or YUL from YOW? Curious what others’ experiences were like. I could see myself living here long term. I know lots of guys who do YOW to YUL but they drive. What is the reserve call out time for the airline(s) you speak of? I thought it was 90 minutes and it’s about a 2 h...

Re: How bad is commuting
I live an hour and a half north of YUL (obviously sometimes longer due to traffic), I love where I live and moving into the city to be closer to the airport is not something for me. But some people hate a long drive. Yes sometimes it’s a drag driving up North on a Friday afternoon in heavy traffic b...

People may bitch about Rouge, but at the end of the day people didn’t care, flights were always packed.

My opinion? Bailout before April 19 Transat acquired by AC. Alpa representation vote wins after the merger Alpa in house at jazz and ac Common employer by 2025 Jazz DOH merger and buyout of senior guys to protect widebody captains at AC Flat pay removed at AC because ts CUMULATIVE years salary is s...

Re: AC/TRZ Transaction Approved by TC - $5 per Share
AC final decision on this transaction is now weeks or months away. Seemingly, AC has resumed discussions with TRZ about possibly further modifying the already modified purchase agreement. Secondly, terms of industry specific aid will have to be factored in. Likely weeks away. Finally, AC will not c...

This is for the flight attendants: 7CA9986B-6902-4F04-82DE-BB9EDC14D20E.jpeg I don’t think any additional pilots are being laid off. Looks pretty definitive end. Making room for ts fas? I think it’s cause the government forced AC to stop flying to sun destinations which are primarily done by Rouge.

It is exactly because you’d have one of the 2 pilots always on oxygen. Also the good old 767 could get up 430 as well.

I don’t think people are that pissed off about inmates getting vaccinated. They’re pissed off because the vaccination effort in general has been a total gong show but inmates are getting vaccinated in timely manner. All the levels of government involved had months to prepare for this and didn’t do ...

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Updated Purchase Price at $5 per share
AC really negotiated a great deal out of this. Mind you, a large part of the original purchase price was also acquiring TRZ's cash on hand 1:1. So with that depleted, the value has correspondingly dropped to the value of their assets alone. Nice, lean deal. We can all thank the Gov't for the state ...

Re: General C Yeager RIP
The most interesting thing I remember from his autobiography was him stating that his air to air combat record in WW2 (ace in a day, shooting down a ME262 and being shot down and hiding out with the resistance to escape to Spain) was what he though the pinacle of his career was. Nobody will ever hav...

Well of course the public is scared the media and to a certain extent the governments have been painting them a scary story. How scary is COVID now? I’d say far less scary then they make it out to be. Here’s some one walking in downtown Stockholm sometime last week. https://youtu.be/bamZrEfwx0A Look...

Does that sum include a support program? They are due for replacement but we don't have the cash for that. I was always a supporter of bombardier but I'm done with them. They managed to kill evinrude now too, they're the worst! Bombardier doesn’t own Evinrude, BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products)...
