Re: Dealing with Civil Aviation Medicine
Scheduled a telemedicine renewal for my Cat. 1... CAME filled out the standard medical form, but only the first two pages, and submitted it to Transport. Well... good thing I only paid $110 for that debacle.

Re: Demand for flight instructors
Class 4s, like 200-500 hour CPLs, are a dime a dozen and always have been. You might not like hearing that, but it's the bitter reality that you need to be aware of. You're ultimately a burden to any FTU if you are a Class 4 - and if they are going to have to deal with you and all the supervisory re...

Re: Dealing with Civil Aviation Medicine
Right from the form, the question is: "Has the applicant consulted a physician or other healthcare provider since their last aviation medical?" Later, after being questioned on a whole host of conditions/ailments, you're asked; in the past twelve months has the applicant: "Used ANY medication to tre...

Ramp/Tower/Ground/flow control would be a NavCanada complaint - not YVR.
The SkyTrain not running would be a TransLink complaint - not YVR.

As of January 24, 2022 - from the update bar at the top of the AWWS site: TAF Plain Text Language We are currently encountering some issues with the TAF plain text language function which may result in some airport TAF not to appear when requested. We are currently investigating the issue but do not...

While you're at it, you may as well define conservatism as well. Consider that these are definitions of both "stripes" in their classical form; which isn't necessarily true to todays modern form. con·ser·va·tism /kənˈsərvədizəm/ 1. commitment to traditional values and ideas with opposition to change...

Re: 95% Of Corpses Received COVID Vaccination Within 2 Weeks Of Death
If that were true, it would still pale in comparison to the number of deaths the virus has caused. If we go for the most conservative of fatality rates, which folks like yourself like to punt around - 0.01%. That would equate to a global death toll of 80,000,000 people. Would letting that many folks...

Re: We were played —“No threat of extremist Violence— OPP.
Were people charged with any of the above criminal offenses and I, and the rest of the world, somehow missed it? As of now, no. But, it doesn't take much of a stretch to imagine a situation in which the Crown could conceivably consider charges of such severity. Actually, it stands to reason that if...

Re: We were played —“No threat of extremist Violence— OPP.
On what criminal charges, exactly, justify a lengthy prison term? Dig out your copy of the Criminal Code of Canada and take a gander. Part II - Offences Against Public Order is a good start; specifically one could take a look at Section 46, Subsection 2; Treason. Punishable upon conviction by life ...

Anti-semite, the action itself is anti-semitic... but let's not let semantics get in the way of some good moral outrage. Also, the Federal Government sacked this moron and ended the program; itself all headline news due to the "vile tweets" scandal. Seems like a pretty cut and dried response to an o...

Re: Background Check Questions
🤦♂️ Great… I am someone who would fall under that “interesting medical history” category. So it wouldn’t ever be straight up denied? They’d ask for additional information every time which I need my family doctor to provide? And this process I’m assuming can take some time? Even after the course as...

Re: Background Check Questions
I'm not disagreeing that that is what the regulations clearly state, but in practice it's not necessarily what occurs. For example, even with a valid stamp in my ADB that renewed my Cat. 1 medical, I got a call from TC Pacific Region after I submitted my attestation paperwork. According to their rec...

Re: Background Check Questions
What does TC do differently from the doctor? While the CAME (Canadian Aviation Medical Examiner - a Doctor suitably vested with extraordinary powers via Transport Canada) signs off on your medical, and essentially says you've passed or failed; Transport Canada's doctors ultimately decide whether or...

On the one hand, one could suggest that with a clickbait title like "CRUE OIL is headed to $200+" that the soon is implied, but your prognostication doesn't include a timeline in the initial post. In your second reply you say something along the lines of "...as soon as the end of 2023..." But, no po...

And Carbon Capture, is greenwashed pseudo science at it's finest. Uh.. no. Carbon capture is preventing more carbon from entering the carbon cycle. I'm aware of what it is. The problem with this idea of massively upscaling current small scale carbon capture technology, is that it is unproven and al...

Really? That's the impression you've got, after how many days of significantly negative coverage of the Hockey Canada debacle; committee investigations, threats to pull funding, sponsors pulling out, etc.

Trudeau is too busy with his hair…to do something simple like this. https://globalnews.ca/news/8327979/new-zealand-real-estate-zoning-bc/ What does Trudeau, or the Federal Government, have to do with zoning decisions made at the Municipal level? Oh, right, nothing - but let's blame the PM regardles...

Re: Historic housing correction on its way: RBC
How is it even possible for a country that, at best, has the 40th largest population in the world to somehow manage to get that "world's largest economy"? From my perspective, Canada has always been destined to be a net exporter of raw materials/goods. It was only for a few short decades where Canad...
