Plus they are going to offer a flight to the east coast. I know some folks up there who have been begging for jet service to the east coast for a while, they better step up with their cash now.

Air Canada Dispatch ad
I know a couple of people in dispatch jobs read this site, so I thought I would share the job posting.

Ornge Safety Position
Does anyone happen to have any insight to the Ornge Safety positions? I meet their requirements so I would very much like to get a little insight before I dive into the application process. I see them advertise for different positions frequently and am curious about the conditions. Is the schedule p...

Re: Why can't we do this here
If you're tired then grow some balls and 'just say no'. We don't need more nanny-state rules that could ruin small charter operators in this country because of the new "cost of doing business". You can't paint aviation in this country with an airline-centric brush. I typically agree with your posts...

Right up until you discuss the paycheque, then we bake cookies. Still a fine job for a lower time, single individual; plus you could do far worse at the north end of Pearson.AJV wrote:doesn't use the cookie cutter.

Joy to hand fly for sure. Stretch and tinkle at every opportunity, never turn down the option. If you're over 6 feet tall have a doctor take some leg off.

Re: Overnight air shipping in Canada (CargoJet, Skylink, etc
Skylink is a turboprop feeder for many of the large cargo operators in Canada, it just depends which contract they are flying for. Your UPS parcel, for instance, goes from Vancouver to Hamilton on cargojet then is delivered to a place like Sudbury on Skylink Express.

Re: Farming/Landscaping job on Avcanada?
It's definitly not a time building job, has it's perks has it's drawbacks. I got an amazing opportunity to sit shotgun in a twin turbine, otherwise my ass would be staying in my hometown, have my own airport, and fly this beautiful airplane with both my family and my wifes family within 30minutes. ...

The word is a new and improved version should be online by next week. It will be free of hate, racism, oppression, beefitarian, offensive language, and rolley bag-induced hostilities. Re: AC Mgmt Eyes Offshore Airline
Yet I still watch my colleagues climb all over each other to take a $60,000 pay cut for Air Canada's golden ticket. They'll pay hundreds of dollars in interview prep, but I haven't seen anyone ask the free question "If I get hired right now, what's my future going to look like?". It would make me pr...

Re: Time to 1000 Hours
Whatever it takes to get 1000 hours is what it takes. I was disappointed when I hit 1000 hours. The insurance companies told me I was going to be a great, wise pilot by then, but I still saw myself as the same screw up that I was at 999.3 hours.

Re: Eating healthy while on the job
Me never ate a healthy meal while flying. Sure ate a lot of comissary. Like on of my co workers said: "Being a pilot is much like being a seagull; fly around...eat some garbage...take a nap...fly around...eat some more garbage." I was in stitches...that's a beauty. Except, you left out squawk and s...

As the news article states, this is apparently limited to "ORNGE Global" - the for-profit entity which provided dubious a...
