Do you log landings

When I started flying in the 90's there was no talk of logging landings. I guess it's more common in the states. What gives I never started so though it was a waste. Anyone else?

Re: Commercial Solo Time Requirement

So if we assume the cross country is supervised, not really a big deal since you'll be doing trainng at the school. Is it possible to be finite about just pic building. I remember back in the day people would rent a plane for a period and fly to places like California from BC to build pic time. It w...

Re: Student loans by province

Wow that's alot in Alberta. In BC too, you have to go full time and the money will be used in 3 weeks from the loan and you have to be there full time for 17 weeks or the school has to report you. So you have to have the rest of the finances locked up.

Re: Student loans by province

Ok so I meant how much can you get for a provincial student loan in other provinces for commercial pilot training. In BC it's around 5400$ and you have to be enrolled full time for 17 weeks. I was wondering what others were getting in another province than BC.

Re: Turnaround time for first Aviation Medical

I am looking to upgrade a CAT 3 to CAT 1. I waited 6 weeks now and gave Transport a call. Apparently, Ontario region is now backlogged 4-5 months??? None of the instructors that I know believed me when i told them this. I really want to complete my flight training before winter but I guess it's a l...

Re: PFC or Glacier Air

Complete bs regarding pac rim they are booked all day a month out. PFC isn't great because they're a ways from the practice area and you waste a lot of time getting there and waiting on the ground. I flew there once a few years ago was number 4 in line then flew to Pitt lake for practice then back. ...

C 172 checklist Canada vs US

I'm getting ready to go back to Cali and am going to build some time down there. Why are they're checklists so different than Canadian for example pre landing and shutdown. I've only flown in BC so I'm guessing they're the same across Canada

Re: Mountain checkout

I was told by instructor that you wouldn't be able to fly a lot of cross country solo without mountain checkout in the lower mainland because of the terrain.
