Broompusher, Investigated the leads to no avail; Canwest is looking for applicants with a min of 1000 TT, and as for Airborne 1500 PIC. So guess it's gonna be a little while longer before i reach 1000 TT and hopefully doors start opening up.

Can anyone tell me the formula that is used to calculate distance from the VOR by turning and crossing the radials?
Sure :D

Time to Station = Time to Cross Radials in Seconds / Number of Radial Crossed

or if you wish

Distance to station = ( GS x Time in Minutes ) / Degree of Bearing Change

but you are also "pushed" into reccomending that particular cadet into a flight test. Having taught 4 Cadets last summer, I was never "pushed" into giving them their recommend. They were prepared and ready when my name when on that piece of paper. Heck, all passed with marks ranging from 108 to 119...
