Dec 21/2015 Air Sprint list one of new CJ2+ for sale

Post by bizjets101 »

Noticed Air Sprint listed CJ2+ C-FIAS for sale, aircraft is less than two years old - and was part of 9 brand new CJ2's they ordered in 2012 - to date they have taken delivery of 6 of them.

I also note Lear 40 C-FMHA which was under their management - was cancelled from
the Civil register last week - unsure where it went.

C-FIAS has 1,302 hours - definitely make a nice Christmas present for someone!!!

Who says it's because of lack of business from oil fallout? Maybe a fleet replacement? As far as I can tell they are pretty damn busy. Perhaps facts are better than fiction before you start to get people worried about their jobs? You may very well be correct, but that kind of speculation is helpful to no one.

Well said. Some guy gets a gmail alert that a plane has moved, next thing Christmas is cancelled and George Bailey is about to throw himself off a bridge.

We have a new CJ3+ coming in March (options for 8 more - replacing the discontinued CJ2+) and in order to build that fleet quicker we are selling our backup CJ2+ (not fractionally owned). Our flying is off a little for the year but not by much. Lear has moved on after 10 years and we wish them the best (management is not our core business). Stay tuned for bigger/larger news in the near future...

those got cancelled, they're going with the larger 605's. also options for global 6000. They expect to covert those into 7000's depending on the speed and success of the flight test program.

Amended - however it was a question, not a statement of fact - thus the question mark.
Good friend is a fractional owner at Air Sprint and already updated me. Thanks.

In tough times I could easily see fractionals like AirSprint doing well as companies divest their corporate departments to cut costs and up and comers forego them for the same reasons.

I can assure you that no one is worried about their jobs. Airsprint is constantly moving and is the most rock solid company operating in the corporate/personal fractional space in Canada. I'd be worried if you're working for anyone else. Heard too many stories of others losing their jobs in a heartbeat...

No news yet. We don't anticipate much hiring for the new aircraft as it will likely replace our XL/S fleet and we will transfer current pilots over.Pilots will be able to be based in Calgary/Toronto/Montreal and the salary scale will stay the same as we have a single scale for all of our jets.
