Re: CBAA Salaries
That must be a great feeling lol. I'll try and post up the management roles as well. They're a little higher - you can see how you compare!

Re: CBAA Salaries
How does this compare to experience? How would someone know based on hours or years flying that equipment where they should be?

Re: CBAA Salaries
The idea is if you get a job offer (job offer determines you have the experience to hold said position), you should be above P50 in salary. If you aren't, you now know and can negotiate appropriately.
If the offer is in the upper echelons (P90+ region) you can feel good about yourself, like Jet.
Cheers,
S.

Re: CBAA Salaries
LOL... Don't feel guilty!
If you, like I, have flown the small twin piston aircrafts before graduating to a turboprop in all kinds of conditions for shitty pay and conditions then finally making it to the airlines then by choice back to the top of the corporate world flying a fantastic aircraft, a large long range business jet for great pay and conditions with great per diems, expense account and the cherry on the cake, flying a quarter of the time per year (approximately 250 hours/year versus 1000 to 1200 hours/year) when you started in this business, then you should be happy and not feel guilty because you probably worked your ass off to get there.

Re: CBAA Salaries
Is there a 2020 or 2019 update to this? Does anyone have a copy, please?
[Or, should I just take the '17 numbers and add, say, 2%/yr?]
Thanks!.

Re: CBAA Salaries
I think everything has gone out the window now. It's tough to read the market, as lots of airline guys are trying to return back to corporate.
The previous salaries posted aren't too far off and are higher in most respects from the rates from last year. Some say it was due to operators falsely reporting current salaries to suppress wages.
Who knows.

Re: CBAA Salaries
Pardon my comprehension but what is the P25, P50 etc figures?
Re: CBAA Salaries
75% of the pilots in that category make more than the P25 numberflying4dollars wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 10:05 am Pardon my comprehension but what is the P25, P50 etc figures?
50% of the pilots in the category make more than the P50 number etc
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship
