Unfortunately I don't find it a very objective report or reliable information. A training organization that forecasts a pilot shortage? It's not the first time that happens. I hope they are right, I really do, but it looks like it is just a fancier version of the flight school representative telling the young people now is the best time to become a pilot. If you do that every year, one year you're bound to be right.

If you do that every year, one year you're bound to be right.

Problem is the flight school representative is FINALLY right, the problem is finding instructors. Not saying CAEs report is perfect, but there is some truth in the numbers.

I don't know if the management companies can do enough to compete with the airlines if they start raising salaries. The margins are too thin on charter and the owners are pretty tight with their bifolds when it comes to extraneous fees. At these levels a lot would probably just go back to flying First class with the airlines.
