Holidays & call out

Post by Free Woodpecker »

For all of you operating 604 / 704 “corporate aircraft” what type of call out are you typically operating under and how are days off per month addressed?

Typically scheduled between 2 weeks and a month out with the ability to book days off as long as it doesn't conflict with the boss down the line. I've been flying so long for the same guy and he's very consustent with his schedule that I know when to book and when not to book extra curricular activities.

Only occasionally does charter impede on a day off where I've planned something. Most times if I bring it up, if its important, with my boss he just cancels the charter or rearranges departures.

I think our call out is 12+ hours, but I can't remember the last time I had to accept a 'last minute' trip.

Best of luck.

No pension - gotta make your own way with whatever you can negotiate for a contribution, and no travel 'benies'.

To put it lightly, we've unfortunately had our disagreements. That being said, I try to forgive and move forward. Don't know if feelings are mutual.

It wouldn’t be aviation with no drama.

The only drama I like is when when the bucket of beers I ordered in Nassau is cheaper than I anticipated.

Me too, it’s ridiculous the amount of self induced BS happens around us lol.
