Aircraft held up pretty nicely until it went through the fence.

Feet instead of meters might explain though.....co-joe wrote:Somebody took gallons instead of litres?

Given the lack of fireball at the end of it all, seems unlikely.co-joe wrote:Somebody took gallons instead of litres?

Realized that they had left the vodka back in the barricks.

Sure seem to be going extremely fast for an RTO. Perhaps there was a major malfunction such as a flight control failure leading to such a high speed RTO. Looks like at least 100 knots off the end of the runway.

I am surprised they did not eject.
Going for the deck at corner

Posts are being made on another forum of an airspeed indocation problem. I suppose that can cause issues about when an RTO might still be safe.
I remember a Continental MD-80 did an RTO in LGA after running into an airspeed indication problem(forgot to turn on the pitot heat when it was snowing) followed by a delay in recognizing the seriousness of the issue and did an RTO above V1.

While the sim faults for an airspeed problem seem to be fairly obvious, real world faults such as on that MD-80 can be more confusing and only partial. Delays in dealing with such an issue especially on a short runway, a contaminated runway, or on a takeoff with afterburner can lead to an overrun.
