I remember reading about that last month. Everyone got out, except the 20 month old baby. I cannot imagine how you get through that.

If people aren't talking. It's not a high wing - low wing problem. Dude in front could have just as easily been another low wing.

You do have a point. However, during the turn to final for the low wing guy(#2 guy), his left wing may have been blocking the view of the aircraft below(#1 guy) while the high wing guy(#1 guy) may have had his wing blocking view of the guy above(#2 guy) while he was turning close in toward final. It is not necessarily on final where the high wing/low wing mutual blocking of view occurs, it is when the aircraft are more abeam each other about half a minute earlier.
