Pueto Plata, in the Dominican Republic had something like that in the apron area decades back when the ground crew marshalled one of our DC-8-63's across. The plane sank through the thin pavement, into the sand, and was there for a couple of days being dug out. Fortunately, that event had nothing whatever to do with a landing nor takeoff!
