I love all the funny remarks on this thread but I'd like to turn the discussion towards a more serious matter. Equality under the law. This aircraft incident smacks of-'There is one set of rules for the chosen ones, and another for the plebes.

Ask, what kind of a person drives a vehicle, fuel, catering, service trucks, limos, busses under the wing of an airplane? Not anyone on my watch. Yes there are some examples like low profile tugs, baggage handlers and sanitary vehicles designed and used on ramps but a road vehicle of any kind, not.

So that begs the question. Was the bus driver properly vetted to be airside? Did he have a RAIC? Airside Drivers Licence? Clearly the driver was not clear on one of the most fundamental does and don'ts airside.

I suspect that the driver would not be operating a vehicle airside on any major airport where he not working for the Liberal Party and by association the PM. I'll bet the security detail showed up, followed by the limos and busses and they were all waived through without question. Airside escort? Certainly not a vigilant one.

I will be looking forward to an incident report being published regarding this matter. But I suspect this will receive the Team Trudeau brush under the rug.

Holy, do you have any clue how an airport works? Sure, there was a lack of attention by ground staff and the driver but it's no conspiracy. There is no need for an investigation either, ground vehicle collisions with aircraft happen surprisingly frequently. The only ones investigating are the insurance company.

I'm not saying this is right, but the requirements to operate vehicles on the ramp of an FBO are not nearly as stringent as those for around airline terminals - even when the FBO is on a larger airport served by the airlines.

Just who do you think picks up the Sports stars and their teams plus all the equipment?... or the movie stars...or the VIP's?

The same charter companies that pick up the PM. No one has a RAIC or Airside drivers license - nor are they required to. They are escorted by the FBO personal - just like construction people around the terminal - not all of them have airport credentials.

Exactly, I've been to lots of airports where "civilian" vehicle and non-vehicle traffic is wandering about aprons with no guidance from airport personnel. Even landed at one that had two Japanese sports cars racing each other down one of the taxiways. Fortunately, they seemed to have enough sense to give way to aircraft.
