I had never even hear of this pilot one hour ago until I called an instructor on a particular type I fly who is also a helicopter instructor. In addition to his helicopter instruction, he recently got certified as a gyroplane instructor. His training was in Florida with a highly experienced gyroplane expert who apparently is a great guy, was a great guy.

Tragically, the expert was killed soon after in a gyroplane crash. Something to do with a power loss and hitting wires in the ensuing emergency. He had gone up with an owner that had had some previous issues with his own aircraft. I decided to look up more info and found a news report and a memorial video.

For some reason, I decided to post it here for others to see if they want. Another one of the really good ones lost...
