You mean Jazz made the news again.

Many outlets have covered such sensational news. But few want to report facts do they?

Fixed the headline, but isn't comparing Jazz to Air Canada like comparing Chevrolet to Buick?

How did both stories miss stating that the wheel was bursting into flames just before falling off?

Who was the idiot who saw sparks and flames in the window while taxiing and didn't say anything?

Was it already spewing sparks during taxi? Probably not enough friction until the take-off roll, no? And at that point, for the info to get to the cockpit from the passenger to the FA to the cockpit, it's probably already way past rotation speed....

They were probably on the takeoff roll by the time it became obvious like we're seeing in the video.
From that point, the time taken getting the message through to the cabin attendants and subsequently through to the flight crew would likely have them airborne.

Edit: Yeah, what Pilotdaddy already said.

Dash brakes spark all the time. Sit at a window seat by the gear and you’ll see lots of them. I doubt they had anything to do with the wheel coming off.

Watch the video with sound. There is a low power rumble during the first bit where there's sparks, then a higher pitch hum during the takeoff run.
