Yikes.
Can a C130 maintain flight with 2 engines out on the same wing if there is no other damage?

It should be able to maintain flight easily on two engines. The Dash 7 could and it was notoriously underpowered.

F-35 Pilot ejected and survived. The C-130 crash landed in a field but thankfully the entire crew got out with no injuries.
Re: Marine C130J Midair
Absolutely they can fly with 2 inop on one side, especially the J model. It's practiced and a requirement for every ride. There is something hanging down behind #3 so it's a safe bet that they were having control issues. All walked away, what's a little twisted metal.

Can it fly on 2 engines on one side with several tons of fuel in it?
Good job by the crew to put it down where they did.
I wonder what altitude they were at when the collision occurred?

Re: Marine C130J Midair
2 engines yes. Preferable if both of them have all their prop blades. #2 seems to be missing a blade and #1 looks to be missing several.

Who was clogging up the frequency by asking not to clog up the frequency? Weird transmission.

Doesn't anyone use "Mayday!" any more?
Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

Re: Marine C130J Midair
There are several ATC recordings showing that using Mayday wastes time since the controller will then ask you if you are declaring an emergency.
But for the rest of the world, yes.

I wonder where the tank ended up and what damage was done on landing vs the midair collision damage.
The cleanup alone is going to cost millions.

Yes, always nice to see that.
