VIDEO: V Tail Bonanza flips over on landing, Brazil 2016

Post by challenger_nami »

V Tail Bonanza flips over on seemingly good landing on a runway.
Aircraft registry mark is PT- ... so it probably happened somewhere in Brazil.

Looks like they missed the runway and touched down in the grass. As they crossed the taxi way it looks as tho the front wheel/strut collapses and then they go to the left where they strut hits the runway edge and a$$ over head it goes.

I just watched it in super slow motion. The nose gear was never fully extended. As the plane goes by the camera person, prior to touching down, you can see that it's not fully locked down.

More folks on youtube re-running years old stuff to try start racking up views. Put todays date on years old stuff, fool folks into thinking its new.

The linked video is a repost of an old one from some years back.

Good eye. I just tried the same and sure enough that is the case.
What a bad afternoon for that pilot.
