And the AC media releases called the YHZ airbus crash a "hard landing".

What's your point?

That was last night. He has now told a local media outlet they departed without sufficient fuel on board.

Everything today says fuel shortage. I have never heard of a Twin Otter that can't fly on one engine unless it is Grossly overloaded or Iced up. So i think the loosing One engine speculation is out.

Either way this is not going to be good for Air Tindi Considering these findings 1 year ago. If they don't have their O/C suspended it will shock me.

My point that the president stated that it was a mechanical engine issue. I highlighted that for a specific reason strictly after reading a post suggesting fuel exhaustion……..

…..that specific reason is to wait until confirmation comes out to see if the president of the company is giving factual information or someone on here is wildly speculating. It could be either way based on past events and will be interesting to follow. If the president of the company turns out to be misleading, it will have been highlighted in this thread.

We shall see reasonably soon.

Pretty much every news article says the same as The Record. I would suggest its legit. Especially when they all claim the "President" says the aircraft departed with insufficient fuel. Could only imagine what that lawsuit would look like if the President didn't' say that.

What an absolutely moronic way to crash an airplane.

His point is made in response to someone mumbling about "...air in tanks" which is what you say when you're too cowardly to accuse another pilot of fuel mismanagement. He offered a different view from the president of Air Tindi.

That was his point. I had no difficulty understanding it. What's your point?

Where exactly did it land? On the highway? Are the lakes frozen up there yet?

Out in the sticks 10k from a small town. Rumour is it’s in one piece and upright. There aren’t typically cleared areas out there to land - rock and small trees, some grassy swamp areas.

The person "mumbling" was in response to the previously quoted news article, which contained the presidents quote. I wouldn't say it was cowardly, they simply provided an alternative explanation from "a mechanical issue", phrased as a rumor since the official stance was otherwise. Pelmet was just regurgitating what we all read already.

And my point is, in the immediate aftermath of an incident, what do you expect any media release to say? PR 101 is minimize minimize minimize, ie "hard landing".

My intent was to expose this possibility or other possibilities more clearly on this thread which is why I quoted what the president said(or regurgitated using your terminology).

That’s the point. Sorry if it wasn’t apparent to you.
