Re: Phenom Excursion at Kingston
No biggie, just a little bit of "off roading at the airport".
Re: Phenom Excursion at Kingston
C-GRIA, an Embraer Phenom 300E registered to I.M.P. Group Ltd., was on an IFR flight from
Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (CYUL), Quebec to Kingston Norman Rogers Airport
(CYGK), Ontario, with two pilots on board. After touchdown following the ILS approach to runway
19, at approximately 1829 EST, the aircraft overran the runway, coming to a stop approximately
400 feet beyond the edge of the pavement. There were no injuries, no damage to the aircraft, and
no damage to airport fixtures. The TSB deployed two investigators to the site.

Reading through reports in the ASN data base, this no-damage event outcome is fortunate compared to others there. Imagine salvage had to be cautious pulling it out back onto solid ground in avoiding stressing the gear. The memory of the slipping and sliding until off the end will linger (in my experience it definitely does).off roading
