Garmin D2 Bravo released!

Post by Taiser »

Anybody check this out? I was holding out on the original D2 just because I wasn't crazy about the mono color screen and the iWatch came out giving me even more pause, waiting for what kind of apps they will have for aviation on it, but the D2 Bravo looks very, very impressive and sweet!!! Anybody have hands on with them...? Looks slick as shit! :)

Check the reviews on Amazon before ordering. In a lot of ways, the D2 Bravo is crippled, especially if you're outside the US.

Hope that helps!

I've seen quite a few garmin watches for sale after very little use, gotta tell you something.

If you want a GPS watch get a sumoto, seems they are much better at the tech watch game.

The problem with Suunto watches is the battery dies in less than a year and they refuse to sell you the battery kits for the "premium" ones. You have to ship them to Ontario and pay a crazy fee, and you're without your watch for 3 weeks.

"Anybody have hands on with them...?"

OP, if you're still looking to get one, I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you have.

Wife got me one for a gift! Very happy with it. Not so much for the navigation (still handy) but it's also a great fitness watch. Lots of apps seem to be coming out recently as well. E-mails and texts on the face are nice and the GPS locks quickly. I like it! :)
