Who's Happy?
Long story short, I'm thinking about a move from my current job and despite all the negativity that surrounds these forums I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for 703/704 operators that they can speak highly of. I know that this may be a rare thing, but perhaps it could shed some light on the few companies out there that really are doing good things for aviation in this country.
This is for a pilot job, but obviously don't hesitate to give credit if you worked somewhere that deserves some positive recognition.

Alberta Central Airways was an excellent place to work 10 years ago. Probably still is.

I'm quite content with where I am. That being said I can not express how happy I will be to say goodbye to Winnipeg

Hmmm... you don't know what I'd give to live in a city like Winnipeg. Trust me, you're better off than I.

True. I guess it's all relative. The grass is always greener.

Clearly you've never been to Winnipeg before. I used to call it the Yellowknife of the south, but that really does a dis-service to Yellowknife.upintheair_ wrote:Hmmm... you don't know what I'd give to live in a city like Winnipeg. Trust me, you're better off than I.
Either way, I'm happier these days, though one might not know it by my usual brand of sunshine.

Hmm... yeah, no. I've been there multiple times. Still would rather be in a big city, any city. Even if it's the 'Peg.Shiny Side Up wrote:Clearly you've never been to Winnipeg before. I guess I deserved this for the title. At the very least, it got a good laugh out of me. I'm happy you're all happy.
Specifically; who's happy as a direct result of a great work environment and wants to shed some light on the deserving employer?
And..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLlsjEP7L-k
Though I would also take the city given the chance.

Morningstar Air Express.
About as good as it gets without going to big red, green or blue.
No travel benies, but you're payed well enough to pay for your own trip AND you get enough time off to do it.

I am very very happy. So far it has been a great adventure. The word "Work" or "Job" are no longer in my vocabulary.

I'm happy. Looking forward to the next chapter when I get there, but happy where I am.
Re: Who's Happy?
I'm happy. Good schedule, decent equipment, decent pay.
Only downside is that I live in Winnipeg but my expectations are so low these days that anything makes me happy.

Re: Who's Happy?
I was happiest when I was a line pilot flying a caravan for 95k a year. I did that for awhile and now I am taking pay cuts to make to the airlines. I am told I will probably make 95k again third or fourth year wj mainline if I go that route.
