Didn't know the RCMP had float planes?
I see in the latest RCMP job add that they are looking for ATPL pilots with valid IFR's, 3000TT, 2000 on floats, West Coast float experience preferred. I didn't know they operated float planes; Is this a new thing?

They have two that I know of. A Caravan and a Quest Kodiak, both amphibs. The van has been around for a long time. Maybe one of the 206's is also on floats, i'm not sure.

The turbo beaver they had beautifully rebuilt landed gear down on a lake in I believe BC? Got rebuilt and is operating in Manitoba or Saskatchewn I think.

The Beaver is with North Cariboo Air - Doesn't fly much. Boss' machine.
