FO pay I heard a while back can be as ridiculously low as 25 000$ per year. You fly alot....but is that really worth it for 800 Dollars per paycheck every two weeks?

In 2013 it was $21,500. Not sure if its gone up since then. There is a 2 yr $18,000 bond for the Metro, or 2 yr $35,000 bond for the King Air.

Metro sched is Mon-Friday from roughly 530am to 7pm. Medevac is 4 on 4 off 12hrs from 7am or 7pm.

For only 7k more, you could go get yourself a 737 Type rating... and it would only be a couple weeks of your life, not 2 years...

You aren't out any money, just agreeing to stick around for 2 years. With the metro bond you get 2 type ratings, with the king air you go to sim...

They are a bit high still on face, but if you want to go captain in a hurry and can commit to 2 years of packing on flight time for your resume, what do you care? The bond terms will be met and you'll be gone to an airline...

I've done 'training agreements" in my career - never fronting cash only agreeing to stay - the benefits to my career and personal situation at the times outweighed the risk of leaving early and having to pay part back...

Yes, but it was inconclusive, that accident isn't the point of this thread Sir.

I would like to know more about their flying aircraft. Schedule for medevacs in Kelowna, pay scale, per diems, benefits if any, flight deck in the 350, bonds, and duty times ect. Here's a chance for someone who works at Carson to give them a good word.

Thanks, but that is not a final report. It has not come up inconclusive, it's still an ongoing investigation.

As for you question, when I was there the medevac did 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts from 7am-7pm and vice versa. In Kelowna they only worked daylight hours so no overnight shift. Couldn't tell you the pay at this time. I don't have many positive things to say about what I experienced there, and haven't met many who do either. That being said I worked the metro to take it for what it's worth.

I highly recommend you believe everything you read on avcanada and make your career/life decisions based on that information.

If you are qualified and interested, why not just call the company and ask. I hear the starting f/o pay is 36k+ with a 4/4 schedule in yvr not sure the sched in ylw or yyc. Senior Citation Capts. 100k

In the top right corner of the page there's a search function. Click on it, type in Carson Air and search. You'll find some good info as you scroll through
