Re: Keewatin King Air
they just took the Cam Bay contract from Tindi and replaced the pilots who worked up there with pilots that earn half as much and work on worse equipment. its what they did to borek in the eastren arctic. if you enjoy not making money, the place is for you.

Re: Keewatin King Air
Probably the worst paid Medevac pilots out of all Medevac companies. Have buddies there that are trying to get out to greener pastures. Equipment is okay with the G1000 but they have hard time for FOs to stick it out to captain. Lots of hours to be flown and long legs. Definitely need to update that $45k a year to $75k imho. Be prepared to fly lots.
If I had close to 2000 TT and 500mpic I would consider Missinippi Airways. New pay scale has gone up to 75k for Medevac captains with confirmed travel to and from home anywhere within Canada for your 13 days on. For 3000+ hour and 1000mpic Pilots, they pay 90k. There, my two cents! Oh-and the average hours flown in 13 days rotation was roughly 35-40 hours vs Keewatin which does around 80!

Re: Keewatin King Air
I have a couple of buddys that worked there over the years and not one person has ever had anything but bad things to say.
Re: Keewatin King Air
It was a great place to get your start when it was owned by Bob and Judy.
Re: Keewatin King Air
I think that statement applies to every single carrier that EIC has acquired over the years.
I guess I should write something here.

EIC needs to pay their executives and shareholders first, the employees get the remaining scraps.

Re: Keewatin King Air
I'm not sure which is worse, this or the $58,000 posted on the other thread for the Skyservice Medevac Lear Captain.
Honestly, are you tax exempt for doing humanitarian work? If not, this is $60,000 underpaid.

Re: Keewatin King Air
Well, I’m guessing they’re still able to find pilots willing to work for the low pay, why raise it.
19 years ago, 45,000 was a good starting wage for a King Air, 12 years back it was the same as mentioned but from what I remember it went up 5g per year to a top pay 75g which again wasn’t bad, if pilots are going to keep taking the jobs how could we expect it to go up.
