I haven’t done it, but I think if you head to Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout, you are very likely to get a job.

Target places that have a high ratio of flying to population. Think TBay, Thompson, etc. You can apply in major centers but don't waste too much time in them.

I made a list of operators that fly small aircraft per province, and then figured out the best way to route myself between these cities as I made my way across Canada. Not likely as organized as it probably should have been but it worked out. Don't discount large cities. Plenty of 702 operators are based in larger cities (probably all of them). Target the satellite airport of the city you're going to see for these type of operators (however, don't forget that some do operate out of the big airport). Don't be afraid to ask guys at the airport where these companies are. Sometimes they only lease part of a hangar or their hangar isn't marked.
