You can’t honestly believe that Evas would tell the pilots truthfully if they knew they were going to lose flying or a desirable base. They have a very difficult time attracting/retaining pilots, spreading a couple lies to ensure that doesn’t become more difficult would be a no brainer.
Also, it would be very doubtful AC would inform EVAS or any of its CPA carriers it’s plan to eventually pull work. It wouldn’t make good business sense to give that information to someone your looking to provide you quality services and it would greatly affect bargaining power.

Final offer from company voted down by over 90%. Legal strike position June 8. Looks like the end for EVAS is very near.

Hopefully the boys and girls have their resumes dusted off and jump ship ASAP. No doubt almost all of them will find work elsewhere, likely for better pay and Working conditions.

EVAS Air Pilots Preparing for a Legal Strike: at 0001 hours (local time) on June 7, 2019

May 30, 2019 at 2:15 PM
As communicated in our last bulletin, the EVAS membership overwhelmingly said NO to the “Company’s Revised Final Offer”, 95 per cent voted to reject the “Revised Final Offer”.

On May 28, 2019, the Bargaining Committee met to discuss and table a list of issues that needed to be addressed by the Company, if we were to ratify a new agreement.  The list of issues compiled is based on the feedback provided by the membership at the Ratification meetings held on May 23 to 24, 2019.

Company proposes “Last Offer” on May 29, 2019
On May 29th, 2019, in Gander, NL, the Bargaining Committee and the Company met with the Federal Conciliator, with the objective to reach a fair deal.

The Committee presented the Company with the list of issues that needed to be discussed, the Company flatly refused to spend any additional money to fix the issues raised by the Bargaining Committee. As we continued to negotiate with the Company, late afternoon on May 29, 2019, the Company tabled a “last offer”. This “last offer” remained mostly unchanged from the previous offer that had been rejected by the members. The Company had no desire to address the issues affecting the members, including scheduling and quality of life issues.

When the Company presented the “last offer”,  EVAS informed the Bargaining Committee that they needed their full support and a response within 30 minutes or else they would rescind the offer. They further advised, if the Committee did not respond within the advised time-frame the Company threatened to contact Air Canada to advise them that EVAS Air would have to restructure their operations and focus solely on the Cargo and Medevac businesses.

As you may be aware, EVAS has communicated their position on the offer, however, they told the Committee the offer was off the table.

This offer, which the Company called their “last offer” was not only unacceptable, it did not address the main concerns of the membership.

Today (May 30, 2019) the Committee remains available to meet with the Employer if it is willing to do so. The Committee has begun the work to prepare for a legal strike.  Members at EVAS  will be in a legal strike position as of 0001 hours (local time) on June 7, 2019.

We will continue to work vigorously on your behalf and will keep you informed of any further developments.

It's a pilot shortage, the deck is stacked in our favour. I'm glad EVAS pilots realise this and are taking a stand. Everybody else take note!

EVAS pilots, keep it up and stay strong. Many have come before you and not had the courage to take action. Its really refreshing to see pilots unite try to make changes for the better. We all benefit across the board.

Don't let management intimidate you, burn it to the ground if you must. I honestly lost a lot of respect for a few former colleagues for choosing to work under the conditions at EVAS. However, taking a stand like this and putting yourselves on the line really changes my opinion and I have total respect for anyone who votes to improve pilot conditions.

I have worked for the company for a while and i am more then happy to have the opportunity to get my flight time and be able to go home to my own bed at night. The company has treated me with the up most respect and i feel lucky to have this opportunity.

Is it unbelievable 95% of membership voted no to latest offer ?
Either you are out of reality with most of your colleagues or part of management.

This is your first post?

Hi Pat, or Jeff or Florence, maybe Ian or Ron?

Give me a break. No one, literally no one has ever uttered those words at EVAS.

Feeling the pressure much? Calling people in the the office individually to see who your scabs will be?

Threatening people with the "You will never be allowed to work for AC if you go on strike".

SCUM of the earth!!!!!!

Possible strike is averted.

Strike Averted: Tentative Agreement Reached with EVAS
June 3, 2019 at 7:15 PM

“We are pleased that the recent intensive negotiations have produced a tentative agreement for our pilots at EVAS. I am proud of our Bargaining Committee and our EVAS pilots who showed continued professionalism and commitment throughout the negotiations. The agreement is subject to ratification by the membership. We will be holding Ratification Meetings on Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6, 2019. Details will be provided tomorrow for the locations and times of these important meetings.

Per diems
5hr or less - $15/day
5hr or more - $30/day
Cargo/Med - $35/day
Those are improvements??????? Disgusting.
Technically yes, but I agree, disgusting.

I left out the maximum flight/month. I added it now. Straight time over 84 hours. So salary includes 84hrs a month. You get straight time add on after 84.

Disgusting. Other eastern operators are paying more for King Air crews flying 300 hours a year.

When I flew 1900s, I made 50% more. I've seen other companies offering 100+ grand a year for captains too.

Perhaps they'll raise the pay when they have 0 pilots left.

I'd still vote no and strike. Anywhere else will pay more.
