Don't know about A/C there but freakin' rent is expensive!!

I was looking for a medium sized room for myself in order to negotiate a few contracts (Instead of doing the hotel thing)

I had to settle for a 1 room thingy with a bed in the corner for 2700 US$/month...That's almost 4000 CAN...

Be sure they compensate for the living cost!! Cheers

There has been a number of Jazz pilots who have gone over to Japan doing contract flying on D-8's in the last couple of years, so it seems that there are opportunities there, apart from that, I have no idea what the rest of the industry is like there.

Good luck.

Sometime during the last year there was an article in Professional Pilot magazine about General Aviation (geared towards corporate types) in Japan. Japan is pretty unfriendly towards GA, based on multiple expensive user fees, slot times, etc. You often see oportunities for experienced jet pilots throw Hawaii Aviation-- they do crew contracting for All Nippon, Japan Air, etc.
