No idea on the company itself... I am however familiar with the Island of Grand Manan. If you have never travelled to the Island, you may want to familiarize yourself and make that a major factor in your decision making process. It’s a beautiful island, however it may not be for everyone especially if you are coming from a large City. It would be very similar to life in any remote Northern City.

I interviewed with them right before the covid hammer dropped on aviation. I took some notes I could share with you, if you’re interested feel free to PM me
Re: Atlantic Charters
I used to work here years ago. back when Klaus was running the show...
So it could be very different for work conditions now.
Now for the island, you will be very isolated. The island is beautiful, but the weather is brutal. High wind associated with very thick fog.
Unless you plan to build multi time and move on quickly, I won't recommend it.

Re: Atlantic Charters
One year/8k bond now though. So depends on the definition of quick! I was also told FO’s average 250-350 hrs/year and Captain’s average 4-600.
Re: Atlantic Charters
It used to be single pilot ifr only. But I would say 400 to 600 hr a year is not bad.
Re: Atlantic Charters
Curious about this company. What kind of minimum hours of experience are they looking for? Cannot find it on their website.

Re: Atlantic Charters
That is a good read. As usual, a lot of factors decided that accident.

@Heavy Rayn, @Kaku
I'm interviewing with Atlantic Charters. Read thru the report of C-GKWE, (the 16 Aug 2014 accident). I'm really curious to know if things significantly changed with them after the occurrence?
Also, any chance you could DM me about the experience interviewing with them?
Thanks.

Re: Atlantic Charters
How many hours do you have? I tried my luck with them, and even visited their office and talked to their chief pilot, but didn't even got a call for interview.airborne_again wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 7:06 pm @Heavy Rayn, @Kaku

Re: Atlantic Charters
Sounds like another sketchy 703. However, these guys had a very serious accident. Hopefully they have learned from their errors.
