What's a typical month like for a new Encore FO? (hours, pay, days off, etc) Are they still looking for First Officers in Toronto?

Work 12-18 days, pairings are 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days. The majority are 3 or 4 day pairings. Depending on how much reserve you get, and how much you fly if you do get reserve blocks, you'll fly anywhere from 40-90 hours a month. Assuming full ESP contribution your take home pay will be $3000-3500/mo. Again.. that is after tax, assuming you contribute 10% of your salary to ESP.

I won't for a second deny the working like a dog part insofar as the record over the past 4.5 years goes. But with respect to present day, given the information I provided, what part of that is working like a dog? How many days a month are new FO's at Jazz working? How many legs a day are Dash pilots doing at Jazz?

Things aren't perfect; hence joining ALPA. But working like a dog as an FO?

I'll just go ahead and accuse you of rhetoric that is not based on current reality. Please prove me wrong.

Not trying to prove anything of which is better than what. Just pure statistics.
Disclaimer: 2nd full year at Jazz, on dash classic out of yyc but a couple months out of yvr, jan to nov excluding july because i was mostly in sim. Total of 10 to 12 days OT and 2 weeks of vacation used so far...total of 2 full months reserve

How many days a month are new FO's at Jazz working? How many legs a day are Dash pilots doing at Jazz?

Just went thru flight log report online for 2017:

30 legs in 11 days Jan
44 in 13 Feb
35 in 9 mar
31 in 11 april
65 in 17 yvr base may
51 in 14 yvr base june
45 in 15 aug
50 in 16 sep
41 in 15 oct
35 in 13 nov

Overall average about 3.18 legs per day. Probably more (legs) if YVR based and/or the Q400.

Just checked the November roster on the Q here at Jazz in YYC. Most junior f/o (not on reserve) is working 16 days a month.
