What does DNMF NTL mean on application?

Post by jakeandelwood »

Does anyone know what DNMF NTL means? I passed the "wonderlic" test a year ago and even after a year it still wouldn't let me re apply, said I had already applied for this job, now a year and 4 months later it says DNMF NTL, "not eligible for re-application within 18 months. 18 months of what? Application or when it expired? Nav Canada recruiting never answers their phone line anymore I've noticed.

Thanks for any input

It’s usually 18 months from the last component of the application process you completed. So it should be 18 months from the date you took the wonderlic.

Thanks, I thought that was only if you failed it, I passed it a year ago, now I got this message saying I have to wait, that's why I'm confused I guess. Thanks for replying

Do Not Move Forward
National

EDIT: i'm just purely guessing, i am a current IFR YYZ trainee, not a NAV HR person :) your best bet would be to contact someone if you need more clarification

Whether you passed or failed you wait 18 months. You either are waiting hoping for a call for an assessment (until your successful wonderlic test results expire in 18 months and you can reapply) or you are just waiting to be eligible to reapply (if you failed).

Thanks, if I log in with my username it will let me apply again but if I "view profile" it says "not eligible for re-application", guess I just wait

Mine says DNMF YYZ
not eligible for reapplication for 18 months.

Why the yyz vs NTL like original poster has?

Also theyd implied there was no fail but just that you will be in the pool foe the next assessments.

Soooo doea this mean I ranked so low that that isnt the case?

Also, I'm finding it confusing because it still says status assesment... does that just mean that's the furthest I made it... or will it change to failed... ??

Wait so does your application say assessment and DNMF? Mine only says assessment still so it's confusing.

As for the YYZ vs NTL I think when they changed systems to Workday, it allowed people to apply to multiple FIRs while I think the old application only allowed for one FIR. If you try applying for the Flight Service Specialist posting it allows you to select all the FIRs.

Weird, I'm guessing NTL means national. it seemed easier to track your progress before they changed to this workday setup, it's just confusing now. I've been calling them everyday to see if I can get an answer but they never answer anymore, they used to. I thought they were desperate for people.

They’re not desperate for applicants... NavCanada gets 4-5,000 of those a year. The struggle is finding a way to screen them for the ones with the highest chance of success, which is why FEAST is now being tested. I don’t work for the hiring team, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get flooded with phone calls and emails from people asking about their position in the application process. So that’s probably why you’re having trouble getting through.

Honestly I don't think anyone's confirmed. Maybe DNMF is the good news people are waiting for, but didn't someone get DNMF after doing only the online Wonderlic test.

Also it sucks that they don't answer the ATS career line anymore and emails take them longer to respond to as well.

Gawd one can only pray lol.
I'm just not optimistic given the qonderlic example I read as well.

Maybe their lines and inboxes wouldnt be so swamped if their notification and updates were made up of actual words and not these codes we have to guess at hahah

haha, that'd be real nice.

On a serious note I did some digging here and people seem to get DNMF on all stages (Wonderlic, FEAST I & II, Bootcamp), then mysteriously disappear after a few comments about DNMF with no further explanation. Others have said the system glitched where it changes from DNMF back to just YYZ.

Doesn't really solve what it means but not all is lost so good luck to us!

Maybe it's some strange aviation abbreviation that the letters have nothing to do with the actual meaning such as BR meaning mist or "baby rain" as my old instructor told to remember it by.

It's been a while since the last reply on this thread, but after doing the in person assessment two weeks ago in Montreal (the old w-sim not the FEAST), my application changed today from "Assessment" to "Screen".

Does anyone know what it could mean?
