Try this link to a windows news group. Every problem I've had has been solved from the info on this site. I was missing a .dll file as well and I think it was as easy as a cut and paste to a different folder but I don't quite remember.
Good Luck....

I got this when I tried to uninstall photoshop. Since my trail version had expired it no longer did anything but was still associated with files so I tried to get rid of it. Somehow I lost a bunch of .dll files and as a result couldn't run word or excel.
After a few searches and such I installed a shit load of .dll files and got word working but excel never came back. So I downloaded open office which works great, was free, and is just like excel. Then I downloaded Gimp for picture editing. It seems to be a good program but tres teckie. Way beyond my abilities. I''ll need to spend a few days reading and messing around just to get it working I guess.
Now I get an error message everytime I boot up saying windows defender isn't working. F'n computers man.
