I believe that it indicates a new posting or changes when you use FireFox 3 could be wrong.

The icon and animation Wacko refers to works in Firefox 2 as well. I knew websites could place an icon there for many years, but it's the first time I notice a website also having a "loading" animation. Is this animation supported by IE as well?
