New Games?
Anyone know if flightsim will ever make another game, or any other flying games (apart from x-plane, i've already got that)
Also, any good ATC games out there?

Re: New Games?
I know Microsoft has released a few screenshots but its hardly anything new. X-plane keeps updating but I was hoping to find something new, apart from ad-ons.
PMDG has some add-on a/c for flightsim, and apparently they were working on a tower simulator, which would be cool, but nothing yet!

Re: New Games?
here is a tower sim. http://www.atcsuite.com/
Its pretty decent, although a top down view, it really works well, and is quite entertaining.
As for Microsoft, they are releasing flight as mentioned above, but its anylnes guest when.
Also i heard rumour a while back that aerosoft were planning a release of a flight sim platform, true or not i have no idea.
If you are running fs9, look into IFLY's 737 that was just released. it is a benchmark IMhO on fs9 platform, yes, I am a nerdy flight sim guy. . but for what its worth im also a licensed pilot also, so not 100% nerd LOL

Highflyinpilot,
Thanks for the link. I think that's a Wilco product - I remember using one of there 767 sims years ago. Great product.
Looks like they have a tower sim only right now. Graphics look pretty good but navigating through the site looks complex??? Also it's about 2-3 times as expensive as Radar Chaos, by Big Fat Simulations.
Check it out here: http://www.bigfatsimulations.com/produc ... Chaos.html
Has anyone tried the ATC Suite yet?

Re: New Games?
Looks like Terminal Reality hasn't done anything in 10 years. Too bad. Fly was a pretty good game.
Re: New Games?
hey guys,
I can't recommend the IL-2 Sturmovik series enough. I think they just put out a new version for the PC. The previous version had been actively updated for almost 10 years and had a pretty loyal following. It's not a civil aviation sim (it's all about ww2 warbirds), but the flight dynamics and overall attention to detail are very impressive.

i never heard of radar chaos, how realistic is it?
the tower sim i linked is expensive, bit it really is quite entertaining, and it is the bet piece of software when it comes to voice recognition that I have tried, its safe to say that it has a 99% succes when using voice, obviously i have no facts to back that up but i rarely RARELY have to repeat anything when using voice recognition.
Thanks for mentioning radar chaos, will have to research this program.

Re: New Games?
I didn't realize it was voice activated. That is a very interesting concept and something that reliable could have commercial uses also.
I'll look at it again.

That's hilarious! Now you just have to convince her that it's her great idea to upgrade the computer!
Best of luck!

Re: New Games?
That look awesome!!!
Is it a stand-alone or does it run of Flightsim?

Re: New Games?
I strongly second the above! The A-10C has even more depth of aircraft systems modeling than M$ Flight Sim and the highest depth of weapons systems modeling and flight modeling ever seen on a PC.kenco wrote:If you like to and wished you could blow shit up I recommend:

Re: New Games?
looks like an aweome sim, although it seems like it would be to taxing on my computer.
Re: New Games?
That's a main problem with PC gaming. You have to fiddle around with graphics setting to balance looks and performance. Even a mid-tier graphics card runs at least $200 before tax. Factoring in CPU, RAM, power supply that would be at least $600. If your harddrive is the old IDE, you probably need to toss that for a new one. All the motherboards today can a best support 2 x IDE devices. Want a good joystick to go with the game? That's another $200 at least. See link:

Re: New Games?
hehe...Try ~$600.00 for that Joystick. It is insane though. (no I don't own one)

very basic atc sim with 8 free airports. I can only play in 30 minutes sessions because I get bored after half an hour. It is fun for that half hour though.
if you pay $10 more you get a bunch of other airports.
