"Finalising the evaluation for the launch". Lol That's quite an ambiguous statement. I'd pay money to see the average ATR pilot try and and take a loaded ATR into an 800m runway.PointyEngine wrote:Take a few at a time, plus a F.A!!

You can land anything anywhere once! I'd pay money to watch an ATR try to pull a load out of 800m...ragbagflyer wrote:"Finalising the evaluation for the launch". Really? ATRs into 900 metres happens just about every day. You really think an updated version of the aircraft with better performance numbers can't knock 100 metres off that? If not, I'll happily take that bet.ragbagflyer wrote:I'd pay money to see the average ATR pilot try and and take a loaded ATR into an 800m runway.

If it hasn't already been mentioned, not homebuilt but Single otter will do it and there are some amphib ones around. Once this person goes and gets a pilots lic. he will better understand the costs involved to own and operate an aircraft to do this specific job and if that doesn't scare him.... I want to be his new best buddy.

Pangnirtung, 2900' gravel. 883 meters. Took off with a full load in an ATR quite often. First Air does it all the time. People might want to do a little research before spouting off what is not doable.

Too bad you can't register that one as O-M.....Throw it on floats, would be a blast till you ran out of gas money!
There are 2 on the Canadian registry I believe.

I've had the 650 can am in a grand caravan. Not many quads that wouldn't fit if that did.
The only three things a wingman should ever say: 1. "Two's up" 2. "You're on fire" 3. "I'll take the fat one"
