Covid-19 impact of float operations

Hi, just wondering how bad summer float operations would take a hit this summer? For now, the airline industry is down and hurting bad, given their target clients are travelers going long distance to somewhere. Maybe the floats won't get as bad? flying people to remote camps for 2 weeks... here's an idea for outfitters! Need to get a 2 week quarantine? take a 2 week break in the wilderness at one of our outposts! Jokes aside, thoughts on the upcomming season?

Exactly isn't the border closed for non-essential travel. Unless this is resolved rather quickly I would expect this will be a brutal season. Some operators may even hand the keys over to the bank. Hoping for the best, take care.

This isn't going to last forever, we'll all be eating KD this year but everything will surge back hard as the restrictions are lifted.

This isn't unique to aviation either, businesses everywhere in every country will be down. Just need to weather the storm like sensible people.

Also, it's possible that more canadians will want to escape to the bush too.

If this continues I can see a few operators locking up. Insurance has sky rocketed, and rates can only increase so much before it’s not economical to charter unless you are on government business.

For this summer....it's game over

The situation will change rapidly, as of now, it's off. Some may close forever but most will sit it out. If you own the aircraft and have half a brain, things can be put on hold.

I wish. Fly in fishing is a luxury vacation. Employment will be a long time recovering. Except for making masks, the economy has just tanked. It will be a few years before you see a full recovery
