Anybody have problems with Wipaire amphibious float system hydraulic hoses and or fitting leakage? Specific to 8000 series on C208.
Thanks!

What kind of problems?
Did your system get contaminated? Hose leaking through the cover? Broken fittings? Chafing?
Improper routing causing stretching or pinching?
Please elaborate.
And....how old are the lines?

Re: Wipaire Hydraulic Hose Leakage
The floats in question, are Model 8750. The hydraulic hoses that Wipaire uses are Aeroquip 2807 PTFE that are commercial grade non Mil-Spec hoses with "super gem" commercial reusable steel hose fittings. Floats are new since install at Wipaire in 2017 with 82.0 HRS total time. Hose leakage is noted while in a static condition, not under system operating pressure. We have seen these hoses "sweating" fluid and leaking "dripping" from the socket on the 90 degree fittings specifically. Wipaire has replaced numerous hoses and fittings already and we have seen these leaking again after only about 20 HRS time in service. We don't suspect system contamination but fluid sample for lab analysis is planned. Leaking hoses extend from float locations to hoses running from below cabin floor manifold to power pack as well. This could all be a result of substandard parts from Wipaire's supplier or poor quality control at Wipaire during manufacture. Poor engineering on Wipaire's part for even considering the use of commercial grade hydraulics on a landing gear system.
Re: Wipaire Hydraulic Hose Leakage
Due to the young age of materials, you either have contamination or a bad batch of hose off the reel.
Another unlikely scenario would be a constant overpressure in the system, what does yours hold at?
