Convair question

Post by BMLtech »

I was watching a You tube video of Nolinors' final Convair 580 passenger flight. I think it mentioned that the 580 was removed from passenger service due to an impending regulatory change. I was wondering if anyone knows what this change was?

The requirement to have a certified security door to the flight deck is one issue, no emergency slides is another. Could be either or both...

Interesting. Both of those requirements have been around for a long time, was there an exception for charter ops?
