On a DHC-6 yes but not on the Beaver.

I 'm interested to see if there was some built.

I am very familiar with them. PM if you have any specific questions. 44US gal capacity. fed by ram air pressure into the center tank. Only problem with them is that the filling spout tends to burp.. I have pictures of them in work if you like

I seem to recall you have to burn 20 gallons out of the center tank before transferring any fuel from the belly tank, and they take awhile to fill because of the blowback, as polar one says.

Here ya go kilpicki.

Thanks Siddley,

The Pig looks slightly pregnant, and the tank seems far enough back to miss the front flying wires on floats.

There out to be one or two of these tanks gathering dust somewhere...

Flew one on floats that had a tank installed, if I remember right the book says you lose a few mph with it installed. I never flew the machine with the tank off so I cann't say for sure. Like stated it feeds into the centre tank but I believe via suction from the instrument system so no gyro presure no fuel from the belly tank.

Inquire at Sealand in Campbell River BC. I approved one on a Turbo Beaver for them last summer.
