M1/M2 working on MIL A/C stay current?

Post by spudame »

Need peoples opinion / expertise...

Currently I have my M1 and will be getting my M2 by the end of the month hopefully (book sent away just waiting to hear back)... Anyways I know that to get your license as per TC you need to have a minimum of 6 months working on civil A/C however I have searched high and low for information pertaining to after you have your license as to what you need to do to stay "current". All i can find is you have to work for 6 months of 24 months after getting the license. (CARs 403.05 (1)). They do not mention if it is civilian or if it can be military. Any incite would be awesome.

Cheers, Matt

If you're working for the military then no.

If you're contracted by the military under an AMO and performing maintenance then yes.

Helian is right, however the trick with tc is don't let your license expire. If you renew on time they don't know. I know several who have current licenses and havent wrenched on ac for years. Getting an aca is another story.
