Hi,
I am an apprentice AME and I was wondering a few things regarding avionics, autopilot and instruments installations.
For a private aircraft (let's say a 172 for simplicity), what can't an AME do? When does it become obligatory to go through an AMO?
In the states, an A&P can install an autopilot for example, while in Canada it seems to fall under specialized maintenance.
Thanks for enlightening me
When is an AMO absolutely needed?
