Inquiry about EASA licence holders?
Hi there, Just joined the forum. I had this query in my head since joined the forum. Well, I'm an EASA part 66 B1.2 licence holder. I'm thinking to come to Canada for immigration purposes. So, how can I work as an AME? Do Canadian CAA provides a conversion? or do people having EASA licence work there? What can my oppurtunities be? Can someone guide me? Thanks!

Hi your B2 wont get you signing authority but your experience will get you a job. Go to the shops where you end up and you should be able to get a job, then see Transport Canada and get started on getting your Canadian licence. You may have to write exams or take the correspondence course as I went through the Canada to EASA battle and my M1,M2 ment nothing and had to write all 11 or 13 exams. there is lots of work for experienced techs right now
