Shift Type:  5-5-4 rotation (shift work)

PRIMARY FOCUS/ MANDATE:
This position reports to the MOC Manager and is responsible for the technical dispatch of the company aircraft in accordance with Sky Regional Detailed Procedure Document (DPD) SKY-DPD-323

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

LEASERSHIP:
24/7 operation of the Maintenance Operation Center Located in YYZ.
Advising the controlling Flight Dispatcher of any deviation(s) for maintenance requests and Aircraft (AC) Status Changes resulting in less than full aircraft serviceability.
Ensure technical dispatch process is followed in accordance with DPD-323.
Monitor CAT II and Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) Operation status in accordance with DPD-317.
Determine if discrepancies are technically deferrable.
Issue authorization number for MELs.
Open and track defects and MELs using TRAX computer system.
Apply for and coordinate MEL extensions in conjunction with Sky Regional Maintenance Management.
Identify recurring defects, action and monitor corrective actions.
Schedule required daily maintenance (routine and non-routine) as per TRAX computer system’s Controller Panel.
Coordinate all maintenance actions with maintenance providers.
Provide technical data to maintenance providers as required.
Assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting.
Request any material/parts or tooling through Purchasing and Stores Department when required for AOG situations or defects/non-routine maintenance.
Enter work C/O by on-call maintenance providers in TRAX computer system.
Communicate with Dispatch & Operation Control Manager (OCM) for any changes in aircraft status.
Coordinate tail swaps in TRAX computer system with Planning, Dispatch & OCM.
Updates the master Weight and Balance Binder.
Updating the Basic Operational Empty Weight (BOEW) in communicator for the E175 Fleet.
Update the Damage Charts – Paper Copy.
Identify and report Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs) in accordance with DPD-301.
Complete Maintenance Reporting Requirement (Recurrent Defect Report, Maintenance Delay Report, Incident Reporting, Service Difficulty Reporting and Abnormal Occurrences/Incidents and Special Inspection Requirements Reporting.
Initiate for and coordinate Flight Permits in accordance with DPD-314.
Apply for repairs in coordination with Sky Regional Engineering from OEMs for in service aircraft.
Apply for maintenance tolerance request in accordance with DPD-323 and 304.
Communicate with OEMs.
Provide Shift Hand over Report and Daily MEL Report Status (TRAX computer system).
Coordinate with Production and/or OEM for structural damage repair instruction.
Ensure Safety committee and reports are submitted through SMS if applicable.
Ensure all safety concerns in the department are addressed to the Health & Safety committee.
Utilize the SMS reporting program and adherence to the Safety Policy.
Comply with the Company training requirements as identified in chapter 3 of this manual and DPD-310.
Analyze and compute IATA data reports for overweight/hard landings and overspeeds.

COMMUNICATION:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
Provides continuous oversight to ensure processes and procedures are current, aligned with regulatory requirements, and; optimized for ongoing efficient and effective maintenance service delivery

SAFETY/SECURITY:
Demonstrates and understanding of safety and security issues and ensure work is aligned with requirements. 
Ensure Safety committee and reports are submitted through SMS if applicable
Ensure all safety concerns in the department are addressed to the Health & Safety committee

POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
Ensure safety is the primary objective by adhering to the Sky Regional Safety Policy
Must have a solid knowledge of systems, processes and tools needed to execute delivery of the service.
This is key to providing mentoring of more junior staff and to provide direction to continuous process improvement initiatives

TEAMWORK:
Maintain excellent working relationship with maintenance and OCC departments
Ensure the team is replying to all queries in a timely manner and all queries are dealt with correctly and efficiently.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
University or College degree or related discipline.
Additional certifications an asset.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum (5) years’ experience in aviation maintenance
M1 and/or M2 AME License and experience with transport category aircraft is an asset
Understanding of company policies, manuals and applicable regulations
Knowledge of EMB 175 aircraft and Engine
COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES:
Good knowledge of Excel, Word. PowerPoint and outlook.
Experience in Trax or similar ERP system.
Solid knowledge of CARS, TC legislation, aircraft maintenance programs, aircraft technical publications
