Mooney Mite

Post by Mightymite »

Does anybody know someone who is familiar with wood structures on Mooney Aircraft
I have been through it and am just looking for another set of eyes to take a look before
we carry on putting the fuel tank, instruments and seat in.
We are in the Calgary area. We are looking for an AME not an RAA rep
Thx in Advance

As far as certified AMOs that work on wood you could try a Canadian AMO search under structures (we had to fly a guy out from Ontario last time). If you want an opinion the guy Id recommend is Gary Hillman out of Red Deer.

Are you rebuilding to the Certified category or the Amateur-Built category?

Either way, you'll probably find more wood aircraft expertise in the Amateur-Built category. An MD-RA inspector with wooden aircraft experience would should be well qualified to look it over.

Aircraft is registered as an ultra light Bringing it back to a Certified aircraft status.
Have been working with Transport Canada and there is no problem doing that as long
as I complete all the AD's and inspections
The second set of eyes was more for my benifit
