I have just accomplished my ICS course through my company and I'm looking into writing my technical exams in the coming months. I know a lot of people comment on using the JEPPESEN A&P test/STUDY guide or the ASA study guide. My question is is there a difference between the two sets of information? I don't want to waste money on the sets of books if one is useless writing the AME Technical Exams.

Hey guys.

I’m really struggling trying to study for standard practice and Structures test. I’ve been out of school for a while now and I’m trying to do the TC exams. I’d really appreciate the help with some info on both exams, trying to get the “S” license.

Hello All,

I am an AME with over 20 yrs experience outside Canada, looking to sit for the technical exams for the M2 license. However, due to my training school going through a few "restructuring" in the past 30 years, they are unable to find the curriculum which states the exact amount of hours and the subject breakdown for the curriculum.
My question is, if I do the ICS Aircraft Mechanic online course successfully, will I be able to sit for the M2 theory exams without any problems?

Many thanks, :)

Which book did you use for AME-M and CARs ?
For the M exams, I used handed down notes from people who had done the exams with the jeppesen study test prep book.
On its own, the jeppesen book isn't enough for the canadian exams.
Send me your e-mail in a PM and i'll send you the study notes I used

CARS is super easy, going through the study guide CARS for AME is all you need to pass.

With the ICS diploma you will be able to sit the M exams, that's the path I took to get my M2.
