More to the point, the questions you posed to me have nothing to do with line maintenance.
There we go...nothing at all huh? What about fixing a EGT readout snag is not line maintenance, or "no radar indication" is not line maintenance

......or windshield heat

Just as I thought...somehow an E doesn't do any line maintenance.

The arrogance is coming from the Ms who think they are IT.
He is going back to what he knows which is avionics.
And your point is? Isn't that exactly what TS is doing?

The job is not that hard geniuses.
Hmmm don't recall any of us saying Avionics line maintenance was easy or boring. Remember, you are the one that tried to take Line Maintenance down a peg.

OK these are NeverBlue's words regarding line maintenance. Keep in mind this about an M2 737NG endorsed Line Maintenance job ad:

-Hmmmm...line maintenance on a 737NG....sooooooooo difficult
-requires decades of training....
-and you need to know how to use a pen...
-Really?...what are you going to do on the line to a 737NG that is so difficult or isn't in some "procedure" somewhere?
-you really think it's that hard? I was bored with it...
-Answer?
-anyone...an answer? (answers provided)
-Flight line maintenance, is not that difficult. Stressful to some...but not that difficult really.
-You couldn't pick something a little more complicated than WINDSHIELD HEAT??? typical
-just don't think changing parts is all that hard
-Changing things (or being told to change something) to see if it works or at least clears the snag ...not so much
-Windshield heat?   (not sure what is funny here...)
-The job is not that hard geniuses.
- ......or windshield heat    (this again??)
-Just as I thought...somehow an E doesn't do any line maintenance. (this "E" guy talk comes outta nowhere)

wow, now that I put it all together it looks bat-sh!t crazy

Line maintenance is about speed, accuracy , experience, and knowing that aircraft inside out.
I don't disagree at all...but it's one kind of airplane.

Really?...what are you going to do on the line to a 737NG that is so difficult or isn't in some "procedure" somewhere?

You still haven't answered my question

Knowing what to do is not difficult if you've done it before. Changing a hydraulic unit, though may be physically difficult depending on the location, is about as mentally challenging as changing a thermostat in your car.
But good for you TS...you can do it the fastest!
The 737 has one stipulation when servicing oils
And how did you know that...you just made it up or it's written somewhere?

Gets B-O-R-I-N-G! you know...: tedious, dull, monotonous, repetitive, etc...

But this is not! OK...let's see if you can get 10 posts in a row without anyone else posting in between TS

And let's not forget the real reason for this thread. PR posting a job add and the tearing it, the company and the industry apart.

THAT'S WHAT IT'S ABOUT!

Nothing good to add here at all! 8)

Instead of spending all that money on type courses (3 airframe and 3 engine) I could have bought a wakeboard boat. @#$! am I stupid. Instead of having a company dictate to me where my career is going to go and where I'm going to live I chose to make my own path. Talk about dumb.

Is it just me or do I sense entitlement?

DOES THIS RESPONSE LOOK FAMILIAR?

Pfft, looks to boring or easy for me. All you need is a can of contact cleaner to keep avionics on a S76 in good working order. I'm mean really its not that hard...

ARINC 429 or CSDB or ASCB ???

OR HOW ABOUT THIS??

The arrogance is coming from the E's who think they are IT....Oh ya..."you've seen it all"...dangerous and expensive kinds of AMEs those are.

Welding aluminum, is more difficult.
Fabricating a tail section, is more difficult.
Bench repair of avionics and instruments, is more difficult
Engine overhauls, are more difficult
Aerospace Engineering, is more difficult.

Practicing Medicine, is more difficult.
Practicing Law, is more difficult.

Being a Parent, is more difficult.
